Yoga X and What is it?

Author: Editor

Yoga is just weird, or at least that’s what I thought.I kept picturing bendy people in tights, it was completely horrifying to think about.  As far as i was concerned yoga was bad news and i should just stay away from it.  That is, until P90X Yoga X.

It took quite a bit of trying, but I learned a lot about yoga from Yoga X.  The first thing i learned from this home leg workout is that… I LOVE IT

Dont get me wrong, i’m not giving up the weights by any shape or means, and I know I have to do cardio still.  But Yoga just feels different than any sort of exercise Ive done.  To get a better idea, lets think about each.

Weight training- Resistance, moderate  heart rate, sweating, but not as much as cardio, moderate speed of movements

Cardio- No resistance, high heart rate, sweating, fast movesments

Yoga- No resistance except body weight, moderate heart rate, sweating more than weights and cardio, slow movements

As you can see, yoga works your body a lot differently than cardio or weight training, and i have to tell you, it is very unique, no other exercise do I know of will get you the same results!  I have not found anything else like it.  As i said before, I couldnt give up the other styles, but I am very glad it is in p90X.  I look forward to it every week and sometimes even twice a week!

Yoga should just be another natural extension of a work out routine.  It would be as if a person only worked out their right arm and let the left one go.  Yoga is a very unique exercise, that when combined with other forms of exercise, compliments and completes ones full body work out.
